Annual Church Picnic at the Cotton's

Pease remember the up coming church picnic down behind our place on memorial day sunday afternoon, immediately after services, come rain, or come shine. this is a yearly event, so most everyone already know when it happens each year. The meat (hamburgers, hot dogs and buns for both) will be furnished and will be on site. the people attending need to bring some kind of covered dish, along with some drinks/ice, and deserts. also tell them to try and bring a life preserver for each member of their family, along with some type of chair to sit in. We have several swings and seats down at the picnic area, but we always come up short on enough seating. we usually get the condiments from the church, along with the plates and cups. a porty potty will be set up at the picnic area also. there will be 2 horse shoe pits going, one badminton court going and one volley ball court going. however, the most important thing is usually the fact that since monday is a holiday for most people, they can sort of let their hair down and hang out until dark etc. of course the biggest thing about the gathering is the fact that all of the children get to play in the water all they want to whopee!.Please emphasize the point that "everyone"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that has any type of boat, whether it be a float boat, a bass boat, a ski boat, a canoe, or even a kayak, please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!bring it to the picnic, because without the kids being able to frolic and play, and ski, and tube, and do all kinds of other stuff on the water, things are just not the same. we used to have plenty of watercraft, but if we only have my boat to do the pulling the kids don't get very much tubing in, which is a shame, since a lot of the congregation have boats!
